Benjamin Nissen is a New York City-based producer. Originally from Howell, New Jersey, Benjamin received his BFA in Musical Theatre from Pennsylvania State University.
Benjamin is currently working as the Marketing and Publicity Assistant at Bond Theatrical Group on various Broadway and touring productions including Diana, Fiddler on the Roof, Harry Connick, Jr. - A Celebration of Cole Porter, Moulin Rouge!, An Officer & A Gentleman, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Prom. Previously, he was a Producing Assistant at Junkyard Dog Productions and served as On The RIALTO’s marketing project coordinator for the Broadway, touring, and international productions of Come From Away, the Broadway production of The Prom, and various developmental projects. Benjamin made his Off-Broadway producing debut in 2019 with Joe Iconis’ Broadway Bounty Hunter, at the Greenwich House Theater.
Benjamin made his solo producing debut in 2018 with 54 Sings P!NK (feat. Grammy Award-winner Kristolyn Lloyd, Tony Award-nominee Ariana DeBose, and Jagged Little Pill star Lauren Patten) as a benefit for the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative. Since then, he has gone on to produce various musical artists tribute events and the concert version of the Kyle Wilson and Sam French’s new musical, Kragtar: An American Monster Musical. As an associate programming producer at Feinstein's/54 Below, Benjamin has worked on various concerts including Lennon: Original Cast Reunion (dir. Don Scardino), Memphis: Original Cast Reunion (dir. Robert W. Schneider), Calamity Jane (dir. Eric Woodall), Baby (dir. Richard Maltby, Jr.), and Kander and Ebb's The Happy Time (dir. Michael Rupert).
In 2019, Benjamin formed his producing company, Fran Spot Productions, LLC. Benjamin also enjoys directing and is an Associate Member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.
